The organization is based in the United Kingdom. Rix.GG Lightning was founded in March of 2019. The organization's CS:GO team is composed of former professional Counter-Strike 1.6 and Counter-Strike: Source players. The team's PUBG lineup consists of former professional H1Z1 and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds players. The Rainbow Six Siege team is made up of former professional Siege players.

The European Valorant Esports Team Rix.GG Lightning was founded in 2020. The team is made up of former professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) players. Rix.GG Lightning is one of the first professional Valorant teams in Europe.
The team's CS:GO history dates back to 2016, when they were founded as a mixed team under the name "Dignitas EU". The team's first tournament win came at the Copenhagen Games 2017. In 2018, the team signed with Red Bull Esports and changed its name to "Red Bull Untethered". The team's most notable achievement was winning the ELEAGUE Boston Major 2018.
In 2020, the team was signed by Rix.GG, a new UK-based organization, and changed its name to "Rix. GG Lightning". The team's aim is to become the best Valorant team in the world.
