NRG Esports is a professional esports organization based in the United States. The organization was founded in 2015, and its current CEO is Andy Miller. NRG has teams competing in League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Overwatch, Smite, and Rocket League.

The organization made headlines in October of 2019 when it was revealed that one of its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players, Chet "ImAPet" Singh, had been accused of match-fixing. The accusation came from a former professional Counter-Strike player, Sam "DaZeD" Marine, who claimed that he had witnessed Singh engaging in match-fixing while the two were playing together on a team in 2015.

This controversy caused NRG to lose sponsorships from Intel and HyperX, and the organization was forced to release Singh from his contract. NRG later released a statement saying that it "does not condone or tolerate match-fixing", and that it would be conducting an internal investigation into the matter.

The organization was again embroiled in controversy in early 2020 when it was revealed that one of its Smite players, Andin "Andinster" Ster, had been accused of sexual harassment by a former teammate. The allegations came to light after the #MeToo movement began to gain traction on social media, and Andinster was subsequently suspended from the team.

NRG released a statement saying that it "takes all allegations of misconduct seriously", and that it was "cooperating fully" with an investigation being conducted by Hi-Rez Studios, the developer of the Smite game.

These controversies have caused many to question NRG's commitment to its players and its ability to handle sensitive situations. It remains to be seen how NRG will recover from these scandals, but the organization will need to work hard to regain the trust of its fans and sponsors.
