100T Wiki
They are one of the few organizations to have teams in all five of the major first-person shooter esports. 100 Thieves was founded by former Call of Duty world champion and YouTube personality Matthew "Nadeshot" Haag. The organization is currently based in Los Angeles.
Nadeshot first revealed plans to start an esports organization in an October 2016 video on his YouTube channel, stating that he had been in talks with several people in the industry about the possibility. The organization was officially launched on April 10, 2017, with Nadeshot serving as CEO. The organization's name and logo were revealed on June 20, 2017.
The organization's Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team made its debut at the ELEAGUE Major: Boston 2018, where they finished in 9th-12th place. The team's Fortnite squad won the Fortnite Fall Skirmish Series in October 2018.
In December 2018, 100 Thieves announced that it had raised $25 million in Series B funding, led by Chinese tech giant Tencent. The investment made Tencent the majority owner of the organization. 100 Thieves also announced that it would be expanding into China with the launch of a new league of Legends team, 100 Thieves Next, which would compete in the LoL Pro League.
In 2019, 100 Thieves won the Call of Duty World League Championship, their first-ever world championship.

In the world of competitive gaming, or "esports," 100 Thieves has been embroiled in several controversies.
In 2018, the team's CEO, Matthew "Nadeshot" Haag, was accused of sexual harassment by a former employee. The employee, who remained anonymous, said that Haag had made unwanted advances and made lewd comments toward her on multiple occasions.
The team was also accused of "stealing" players from other teams. In 2017, 100 Thieves signed a player who had just been released from another team. The player's former team accused 100 Thieves of "stealing" him, as they had not given them the proper time to match the offer.
100 Thieves has also been criticized for its treatment of players. In 2018, a player on the team's Academy team, who was not being paid, accused the organization of not providing adequate housing or food.
While 100 Thieves has been successful in many ways, the team has certainly not been without controversy.
