Valve finally added Anubis to the Active Duty map pool and removed Dust 2 to 'CS:GO'
Valve re-added Anubis to the Active Duty map group and removed Dust II from the competitive Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive map Anubis was in long talks about adding it to the active duty map pool, but the problem was which map should be removed from it. Even a year Anubis fans were making Reddit posts to bring the map back.

Finally, after years of waiting (at least loved the map), Valve added Anubis by replacing Dust 2 from the Active Duty map pool. Now I still love Dust 2 more than Anubis, but I'm not solely playing the game, and it could be a great map to watch too. Valve issued a blog post stating the the update. Though, Dust II is still playable in Casual, Deathmatch, and Competitive modes.

Anubis or de_anubis was created by Roald, jakuza, and jd40, which was added to the game on March 31st, 2020, and within two weeks, the Anubis was added to Competitive CS, became the second map to the new Cache to get moved into Competitive scene since the introduction of Scrimmage as it was first introduced to the Scrimmage mode only.

After only a year, on May 3rd, 2021, Anubis was removed from the game. This year it was re-added to the game on August 16th, 2022, and after 2 months and 2 days, Anubis was again added to the Active Duty Group by removing the Dust 2.
