Two teams have advanced to the semi-finals of the IEM Rio Major. MOUZ Esports becomes the second team to qualify for the next stage by beating Cloud9.
The second match of IEM Rio Major 2022 Champions Stage day one was played between MOUZ and the Russian CSGO roster Cloud9, where MOUZ Esports was able to secure their spot in the semi-finals of the Rio Major 2022.
It was an interesting best-of-three match between both teams where MOUZ lost their map pick 'Inferno' by 11-16 and rest two maps they won by 16-13 at Overpass and 16-9 on Ancient.

- Map 1: HObbit - 1vs2 Deagle clutch (T - post-plant situation)
- Map 2: torzsi - 1vs2 clutch (CT - post-plant situation - pistol round - very close defuse)
- Map 2: sh1ro's 1vs3 clutch attempt (T - pre-plant) is denied by the final CT (xertioN)
- Map 3: Ax1Le - 3 USP-S HS kills on the bombsite A defence (finishing frags - pistol round)
- Map 3: dexter - 3 M4A1-S kills on the defence to secure the match victory for MOUZ
