IEM China 2022 Cancelled by ESL CS:GO

ESL Counter-Strike announced that they are canceling IEM China 2022 tournament, which was supposed to happen around BLAST Premier League 2022. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation and difficulties for organizers to host an esports event in China, the ESL organizers have decided to cancel this CS:GO tournament.
The organization will continue to monitor gaming developments in China for the next years. The post says, "In light of the ongoing COVID-19 situation and complexities of hosting an international competition in China, we've made the decision to not host the planned #IEM tournament there later this year. We'll continue to monitor developments within the region for 2023+ onwards."

ELS CS:GO is also postponing the ESL Pro League Season 17 conference to 2024, so it won't conflict with the BLAST Premier Fall Final tournament schedule on 26-27 November. "Additionally, to avoid conflicting with the Blast Premier Fall Final across Nov 26-27, #ESLProLeague S17 Conference will move to 2023, enabling us to schedule as per our original vision and attaching it directly to EPL Season 17. Full details on the 2023 program TBA soon.
