The team was originally formed under the name Team Question Mark and was composed of ex-members of Team SoloMid and Team Dignitas. The team's first victory came at the FACEIT 2015 Stage 3 Finals, where they defeated Virtus. pro to win their first-ever tournament.

The Astralis CS:GO team is considered to be one of the best in the world and has won numerous tournaments, including the ELEAGUE Major Boston in 2018. The team is currently ranked #1 in the world by HLTV.org.
